Hi, I have been running Windows XP Home for the past year, and it has worked pretty well. I partitioned my drive, so I have an F drive and a C drive. On the F drive I have all my files, games, music, etc. Its the main drive. On my C Drive is where XP is installed. I recently bought a lIteon DVD Burner, and Windows XP failed to recognize it, so the people at LiteOn told me to reinstall Windows XP. I was just wondering how do I reinstall Windows XP only on the C Drive. I can't access Windows so I have to put the Windows CD in my CD drive and run it when the computer boots up. So, I get the setup window, and it asks me either to setup windows or repair windows. When I do setup, it asks me about partitions and which drive I want to install windows on, but on the list at the bottom of the screen there is only the C drive and no F drive. On top of that the C drive says it has 30 GB of space left on it even though when I initially installed it a year ago, I only assigned it about 10 GB. I just wanted to know how to reinstall Windows XP on the C drive without losing any information on the F drive. Thanks for your help.
