Please help

I got the delta dvd rom from CC today, but for some reason it doesnt read any dvds, it works fine with regular cd roms but just doesnt read any DVDs, can anyone please help?
I am running win me, my computer recognizes the drive as 12xdvd rom, anyone know why it cant read any dvds?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance

Do you mean it won't play DVD movies? Have you installed player software?

You need DVD player software. Look online for WINDVD or Play.

sorry, actually i got everything, just that it doesnt recognize any dvd discs (says please insert disc into drive, even though i inserted dvd in it) but it works perfectly fine with a regular cd rom. totally weird

win dvd, the one that came with the drive. But i just cant read anything, cant even explore the files, the drive doesnt recognize any dvd rom i put in...please help guys

Try a different player or even a video card that does hardware decompression. I had the same problem with my Prime Peripheril dvd drive. They ship windvd with it and the software is not compatible with the drive.....yes, they are complete morons......

I changed the player now i am trying with power dvd and it is still the same. I hope i didnt confuse anyone, actually my computer is not recognizing any dvd in the drive and no the dvd player it sucks.

I am using ATI Radeon VIVO, which i heard is very good for dvd.. dunno why the drive itself is not reading any dvd disc aarghh..

yeah i get it, the drive isnt detecting the dvd discs..

well either you got a bad drive or the DVD laser is misaligned.. in either case RMA... and get a new one.

actually I did think about that, but this is my second dvd from CC, i returned the first one coz of the same problem, so i guess it has something to do with my computer, u know anything that i could tweak or any settings i need to check out? I tried everything, any help would be greatly appreciated... thx again
