Hi,

I recently installed win2k. I have now loaded up half-life, and downloaded the latest patch. When I try to run an internet game of DOD (day of defeat) it says that my current video card doesn't support my opengl setting. But it did in win98. I have a tnt2 ultra. And direct3d runs so slowly it is unplayable.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I really want to try the new version of DOD but can't. Dying here🙁

THanks for your help.

List some system specs and particularly what drivers u r using. Sounds just like a driver issue at the moment.

Go here or here or even here to get the latest Detonator drivers for Win2K.

😉

Driver indeed. On my TNT2/M64, Win2K found a driver for it by default. That driver did 2D well, but couldn't do 3D at all. To check, run dxdiag, click "display", and run the Direct3D test.
