I'm trying to underclock my amd 800 tbird to 700 by closing one of the L6 bridges, but everytime i close the bridge my computer won't boot, i have closed the L1 and L7 bridges with no problems, any suggestions, i have a gigabyte ga 7dx with pc2100 micron memory

You can't do that... if you have pc2100 ram, that means you have a 133fsb, DDR mobo. 700 is not a multiple of 133 - you should be able to do 666 or 733 though. 666 = 5*133, 733=5.5*133. One note: my slotA tbird 700 won't do X.5 multipliers with a 133 fsb (but thats most likely cause slota's aren't meant for that kind of thing)
