Hi,
I just got a new comp (put it together actually) worked fine for awhile. Suddenly when I go into Windows 98, it just freezes right up and locks the computer. I've reinstalled Windows I don't know how many times the past couple of days, but to no avail. Can't install any drivers or anything. Can someone think of a reason it would be doing this?
Thank you,

What's your system config?
When you say it goes into Win98 and locks up what do you mean? Does it load up your desktop? Does it give an error message? Please be more specific.
When you reinstalled Windows did you format the hard-drive?
Have you tried booting it in safe-mode?
Did you add a program/drivers/piece of hardware just before the problem started happening?

It loads the desktop and everything like that, but just before you could do anything, it's locked (frozen, no activity, no mouse response, no kb response, nothing). I have formatted the hd a couple of times. Never really tried to do much in safe mode, I'll give that a shot.
Thanx again
