Please Help!!

hi guys, well my dad's friend came over and he is like a crazy computer guy and he liked was fixing my sisters computer and he decided to clean mine out so we opened it unscrewed the fan and cleaned it out and put it back in, after the computer wouldn't start but we just wanted cause maybe it was moisted... after the comp turned back on and everything was fine, after he left i decided to play some cs, and i lagged like CRAZY, i checked my fps and it was in the 20s.. used to be in the 60s. And today i played warcraft 3 tft and i used to run so smooth and great but now it lags as well... its not my connection because it worked before... i dunno why some one please help

Do you know if it was the heatsink/Fan for the CPU? It's possible that it's not making good thermal contact and throttling (reducing its speed) to keep the chip from frying.

egad... lol well is there way to fix this?? i going get a new comp anyway but i want to be able to fix this problem, we removed one of the fans becasue there was 2 in the computer, should i put it back in?

Well, slow down a sec... Did you guys simply remove the plastic fans and wipe them with a damp cloth or did this guy wipe stuff down inside your computer case with a wet cloth? Either isn't really recommended, but wiping down a fan that is outside of your PC is certianly better then giving your video card a sponge bath.

Yes & make sure it's blowing the right way. Both of them are in there for a reason.

Heed this. If that's the case you will need to clean it up with alcohol & use some new compound before re-installing it.
