I purchased a K7T266 Pro2 last year, and just recently became interested in upgrading my CPU. I figured I’d upgrade to a 2000+, but upon checking your website out, there are two versions of 2000+, a .13 micron and a .18 micron.
Now I recently called up a computer store, and the “technician” didn’t seem to have any idea what he was talking to, and apparently all they sell is .13 micron. I called another store, and he told me that .13 micron only starts at 2400+.
Could someone pleeeease help me with this issue? The only day I'll have any free time to go out and buy a new CPU within the next month is tomorrow... thanks to whoever replies.

the .18 is based on the Palomino core, which tend to max out if overclocked between 1.7 and 1.9 GHz
the .13 is based on the Thoroughbred (T-Bred) core. he doesn't know what he's talking about because you can get the 2000+ in either Palomino (0.18) or T-bred (0.13)

The .13 (T-bred) runs cooler and is easier to overclock. I just bought a T-Bred B 2100+ to replace my 2000+ Palomino, in hopes of overclocking and cooler temps.

Try to get the T-Bred Revision B, they seem to be more accepting towards overclocking.
