Looking to watercool my rig.

If you had this configuration

Lian Li PC-65 Case
FX-55
BFG 6800GT OC
MSI Neo2Platinum

I need to watercool the CPU AND the GPU with a set-up.

I know really nothing about the components and what is good and reliable.

Overclocking isn't a real priority but someday that might change :)

So my question...if you had this exact set-up (i think thats all you need to know for watercooling..if not let me know and ill post rest of the system specs) how would you cool this with keeping somewhat of a reasonable budget ~200/~250

I live in the desert of las vegas, and it gets hot here :D

should I buy pieces seperate? or do they make good kits?

Thanks for any help on this!

Confused and hot in las vegas...

BTW: not looking to have to mod my case, I've heard about external radiators or what not...this would not be a problem..plenty of room.

You have a choice, pick up a ready to go Water Cooling Kit or put your own together. The major difference (other then the fun and learning of DIY) is that the Kits generally do not provide top end performance like a well put together DIY kit. Of course you'll have to do the research and make sure your components work well together (ex: a restrictive block will need a higher power pump etc...).

If you go to WC Kit way I would suggest taking a look at the Swiftech Kits, Innovatek Kits, Asetek Waterchill Kit, the Corsair Cool Kit and finally the Thermaltake BigWater Kit (in that order but thats IMHO).

If you're going to put together your own kit head over to www.overclockers.com, www.ocforums.com, www.systemcooling.com and www.gruntville.com (to name a few) and look at the forums for suggestions.

For an economical DIY kit I would recommend:

TOTAL: $266
$45.00 Swiftech MCW6002-64 CPU (*)
$45.00 Danger Den Acetel MAZE4 GPU (*)
$75.00 Black Ice Pro II 120mm Radiator
$14.00 Danger Den Shroud (**)
$50.00 Hydor L35 Pump (*)
$17.00 Swiftech MCRES-525 Res (X*)
$ 9.00 12' ClearFlex 60 1/2" Tubing (*)
$ 9.00 12 Stainless Steel Hose Clamps (hardware store)
$ 2.00 Swiftech HydrX Coolant (X)

You can prob get away with a BIP single 120mm rad and an L25 pump (brings price down $40) if you're not doing heavy OCing and have a high CFM fan on it. You'll also save money if you go with a heater core but it can take some modding to fit in your case. And I over did the tubing and clamps just b/c i like having extra. = )

So if I go with a DIY kit
because im totaly new to this.

what are the parts needed.
not specific brands, just the parts to get me up and running.
example, heat sink, pump...what are all the components involved so i know what I need while im shopping for parts.

Also If I purchase lets say from dangerden.com are there any type of instructions included to set up a DIY kit?
So if I buy all the parts seperate...once I get them how do i know what to do with them?

thanks for all the replies.

The choice, of course, is yours m21s, but I'd suggest spending some time poking around in the FAQ's here. Just having an idea of the parts you need is only the beginning. You'll be better off in the long and short run if you have at least some independant knowledge of the pros and cons of water.

nnyan, I think Jab-Tech sells BIPII's for about 50 bucks. AC pumps are a bit harder to deal with, so spend the 25 bucks you saved on the BIPII for a DC pump.
