please help with a rambus mem installation qustion

I just installed 2 128 800 rambus sticks. I had 2 already. I now have 4 128s. However my games are extremely slow now. My system is 1.9p4, GF4 ti 4400 and this darn thing is slow. All I did was install the ram and turn it on. did I do somthing wrong.

Are they the same chip types (ECC, non-ECC, speed 800/700/600)?
Are they the same manufacturer, with or without lifetime warranty?
Did you have any problems installing, or did you install when the weather was hot/dry outside and you were not properly grounded for ESD?

It may be a coincidence that everything is running slower related to some other problem.
Are you sure nothing else was changed?
