All games lockup on me usually after only a few minutes of play. It is not a heat issue. I also tried to turn off all audio acceleration, but that really didn't help much. This is the 2nd Nvidia card to be doing this with this system. It's the sound that will freeze hard on a certain spot and the graphics usually will still be fine. Would indicate more of a sound driver problem even though acceleration is off???? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thanks🙂

I get the exact same problem. I believe it is caused by a hardware conflict between the geforce cards and the via chipset. I cant even play a fricken game for christ's sake. Im gonna try uninstalling the sound card, maybe that is causing the problem. I havent been able to play one fricken game since I built my computer 9 months ago. It sucks.

SOLUTION...for me at least.

I have the same problems....

I am running 3 sticks of 256mb Corsair PC2700 ram (all have been tested and are perfectly fine). If I remove any two, my system becomes extremely stable! I don't know why, but a single stick of ram is the only solution for me.

Give it a shot and see if it works.

Just wondering here, how long have you had that XP in that board? Have you tried dropping a non-XP CPU in there and seeing how it works. I didn't think the A7V133 1.04 Rev. boards could suppor the XP. I thought it was the 1.05, or am I thinking BIOS????

I've had a non-xp chip and the same thing. The board does support XP just fine with a BIOS update. Also, I've been able to improve stability by changing some BIOS settings. I'll be turning settings back on little by little to see what really makes a difference and what causes the lockups. Thanks for the replys
