I'm the owner of an MSI KT3 Ultra (MS-6380E), and I'm having big troubles with the System RAM. Initially I bought my PC with 256Mb RAM (Samsung DDR-333), later I bought 256MB (Samsung DDR-333), with no problems, but when I bought the third DIMM of 256 (Samsung DDR-333), the troubles started, since that I have tested every DIMM module, and every DIMM bank, and that seems not to be the problem, actually if I put randomly two DIMM modules, in any DIMM banks, theres no problem (With 512MB system RAM), but theres no way in any combination that works with the three DIMM banks used.

I'm running Windows XP PRO, and the systems hags, and reboots automatically, running RAM tester software with 768MB ram installed gives you aprox. 8000 read errors, no mather the order of the DIMMS modules, but removing any module and I mean ANY, does not give you any error (I have tried all the posibilities)...

am I making any mistake?, is there any known issue?...

(Sorry about my english)

According to the june MB roundup roughly 66% of the boards made with that chipset wasn't stable with 3 mem sticks. Although MSI in the review didn't have any problems this is no guarantee on all of their boards. Check out the article here.

In general w/ that board your not going to be able to run w/ all 3 sticks at DDR 333 speeds, although you could prob get away with using 3 dimms in DDR 266 mode. Hope this helps...:)
