Hey everyone,

I just dropped my phone on a road out in rainy weather only to have it rained on for 5 minutes before I realized it missing so I could find it. I was wondering if any of you have a suggestion for a budget unlocked GSM phone that has a nice form-factor (really small, hardly know it's there), good durability, and good reception? I'm using a T-mobile SIM and the service here isn't as great as it could be so I could also use a better phone. Thanks a bunch.

There's so many choices it's hard to know where to stary. I'd recommend buying something from several years ago on Ebay - like a a Motorola V180. Or a Nokia 6010... or I could go on... there's a lot to choose from.

That's a good question...I guess my idea of budget would be at or below $100 and something I won't have to think about replacing for a few years (hopefully).

Why not get a prepaid tmobile phone kit, and sell the prepaid sim on ebay for $5-10. YOu can find the kits at most stores (B&M or online), and they can be had for as little as $20. Nokias and Moto's tend to have the best RF performance, but it can vary from model to model.
