Probably the only thing that might hold you back is AGP mutliplier....make sure you get a video card that can handle high AGP speeds. You can try 1GHz straight off, and is that doesn't work, start at something a little more conservative like 112 x 7.5 (840) and work your way up, and give a little bit more voltage for stability at higher speeds. You probably will need to add a little bit more power at anything over 900 or so.

I have the same mobo and am lookin at a PIII 700 and shootin for a gig or so. (right now I have a cellermine 566@850 on it, also does 950 but my slocket's kinda tweaky and I don't like feedin the cellermine 1.94v....) Word has it that the cBO stepping models are better for this clock, anyone know why? Also, what are the chances that this would go through on say 1.85max/Gorb, or would I need an Alpha or something? I got 1 256 dimm of PC133 micron that does 140 @ cas2 so that shouldn't be a prob. My video card's a V5 5500 PCI so the AGP shouldn't be a prob. Anything I'm missin? Thanks!

You Celermine is a cB0 stepping CPU. No cA2 Celermines exist. You might want to wait around for another week or two as the new cC0 stepping becomes more common. These seem to overclock even better than the older cB0, and come with a higher default voltage of 1.70 volts.

Thanks for the heads up, it's appreciated. Were any other adaptations that you know of made to the cC0's?

Which Slotket are you using BatmanNate? I have a P3B-F and a S370-133 slotket and my PIII 700 can only do 840 on the P3B-F!

my Soyo board blows it away for overclocking and i am running at 959 now but can easily go higher (being conservative), i am at 1.7V

no voltage change would make any diff. on the P3B-F... the thing would only go upto 840!
