Just got a PIII-S 1.26Ghz CPU w/512 L2 cache (that's what the -S means)

It requires a FC-PGA2 MB.

Does anyone know of one?
Please not a server board, they don't have AGP.

Thanks

ASUS TUSL2-C

Not sure if the Abit board supports the 512k version.

I run that same CPU on a Gigabyte GA6OXET-C overclocked to 1.5 GHz. It will also work on an Abit ST6 and the others mentioned in the thread.

Thanks alot for the answer.

I agree, the cpu should take care of the extra cache.

I went to the intel website and all I kept getting was "don't use this cpu on anything but our server board"

"danger, danger, Warning Will Robinson!!" "this cpu is not to be used for home use"

What's the big secret?

I might try the MSI i815EPT MB, it was used to test this chip in an article by Tom's Hardware.

Thanks Again

Tried to install the Tualatin 1.26-s on my Soyo SY-TISU today. First it booted up to XP Pro's desktop ran for less then a minute and did a system reboot. from there on the bios would hang or it would get to scandisk and find all sorts of error's. Had to reinstall 800e and run system restore to get back online for help. Sent email to both Soyo Taiwan and U.S.A. tech supprt for help and cruising forums and newsgroups for help. Hoping its just a matter of bios flash or clean windows install. Hope hope pray pray...

Jetway 694TAS if you really want to Cheap out :D - loadsa PCI slots, AGP4x, AMR slot, ATA100, onboard sound though thankfully no onboard VID, FSB from 66 to 166 in 1Mhz increments, RAM Async mode.. though no CPU voltage adjustment :( , 3 DIMM slots, sensibly placed connectors - not bad for £50, seems as good (or bad?) as any other VIA board
