My PC spec is as follows
AMD THUNDERBIRD 850 MHZ
256MB PC100 RAM
GEFORCE 2 MX GRAPHICS CARD
SOUNDBLASTER LIVE 5.1 SOUND CARD
I am having a very odd problem so i really hope somebody will be able to help me.I have a KT7-RAID Motherboard.I have 2 hard drives connected to my IDE1 connector and I have a DVD-ROM and a CD-WRITER which are both connected to my IDE2 connector.I am not using IDE 3&4.Everytime I disconnect the power supply from the mains and switch it on again and power up my PC,my drives connected to IDE2 are no detected.I then have to turn the PC off (NOT FROM THE MAINS),disconnect the IDE2 cable completely and unplug the power cables from behind the CD Drives and reconnect everything agian.Then I power up the PC and my CD DRIVES are detected.This has been really confusing me to no end and I have not been able to get any worthwhile advice anywhere.I have exchanged the Motherboard and the power supply(Which is an approved AMD 300W power supply)but I have had no luck.
Somebody please help me before I tear my hair out in frustation.
