Please Help Me

I don't know what I did but I need to change it back...fast. Before, when I went back to a certain sentence and starting typing, the characters that come after would move along as well. Now, the computer erases the texts as I type. They no longer move in tandem. How can I fix this. Please help me.

Hit the insert key and post in the correct forum next time....nubcake.

hit insert and look at the OVR text go off on the bottom

and hit crtl Z to undo stuff

No joke. I posted this in the Programming/Software forum but did not get a respone in 10 minutes so I decided to post here, where there is more traffic. Impatient, I guess. I have to get this paper out ASAP and I hit that insert button by mistake.
