Ok here's a description of my rig.
- AMD Athlon 64 2800+ (Stock speed)
- 2 x 512MB Kingmax Harcore PC4000
- Antec 300W Power Supply
- 2 x Hitachi 160GB in Raid 0
- Artec 48x24x48x CD-RW
- M-Audio Delta 1010LT
- Ultra cheap TV tuner

Randomly my computer started throwing up BSOD's with the error: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
They became more and more frequent. After a few days (2-3) it refused to even POST. The power turns on and the fans start going but there is no output whatsoever. I tried resetting the CMOS at that point AND removed everything except the bare essentials. It started once and threw up another BSOD with the same message again and hasn't started since. I am not sure what I should do now. Theres nothing physically wrong with the processor. Every CPU that has ever died on me has shown some sort of burn mark or chip on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no money whatsoever and am thoroughly screwed if I can't fix this. (I'm on my roommate's comp right now actually 🙁 ).

THANKS IN ADVANCE,
Jason Dorfman

First disconnect the Hard disks, the CD, and remove the tuner and the m-audio delta. See what happens. If nothing, then change out the memory. Post back results......

I took the motherboard out of the case and hooked up the power. I have the video card ram and cpu in. It gave me the post and naturally couldnt find the hard disks because they arent hooked up. I checked extensively for blown/messed up capacitors and everything was fine. what next?

ok I don't get it. I have it outside the case with everything hooked up... stable for 24 hours under stress
I'm gonna put it back in a bit and see.
