If I were you I would just delete all old files in your temp folder & see if that clears it.
Btw wrong forum.
I have all the most recent Windows Updates installed. I have tried other browsers i.e. Opera, but I don't like the advertising. The file its mentioning is nothing more than part of the error report its going ton send to microsoft if he so chooses to send one that has nothing to do with it. although i'm not 100% sure, but when something like that happens, try doing a windiws update, or running a diagnistic utility like Norton Utilities or the like. if you have to use a separate browser because this one is giving you too much trouble, then do it, but give that a try, if not, good luck
I am running Ad-Aware 6 as you mentioned. I have the latest reference file installed and it finds nothing. This error message goes back a long time, ever since I installed the original SP1. I will post if I manage to solve the problem as I have possibly stumbled onto something...see below...I would run Ad-Aware just to see if there's anything lurking on your system that you don't know about. I've seen terminally unstable machines that are running like dogs (alright, so they're slow anyway!) pick up and become usable and a fair bit more stable after removing goddamn spyware from them.
You can get it from Lavasoft.
Let us know if you solve it!
You could be onto something here with your comment regarding the soundcard. I have a VideoLogic Sonic Fury installed but I'm using the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz drivers as they are the same card. As I was playing a game today I got the same error. Anyway, I quit to my desktop and ran the game again and it would not run, it just came up with the same error and I generally need to reboot. This time though I didn't reboot but quit the error messages, went into the device manager and disabled the Santa Crus device. I then ran the game and it ran!Did you just install any new SW? Or mess about with your sound card?
