Hi I have a Plextor 12x10x32 with burnproof technology and have been using nero and have always taken like 7 minutes to download a full 74minute audio cd. Now its taking me around 16 minutes for the smae cds i think i might have had an option checked by mystake, not sure.

This is what i have checked under "Burn"
under action i have Write and Finalize CD checked
Write speed 12x
Write Method disc at once
Number of copies 1 and i'm using burn-proof
under options nothing i checked
In CDA OPTIONS and AUDIO-CD option tabs nothing is checked.
PLease help i burn alot of cds and bought 12x for its speed and its going slow
 
It use to go 7minutes on the same CDs that go 18minutes now. I think it might be doing something before the burn if its taking just about Twice the same amount of time.
 
First let me start my saying that i think it's really impressive that you were downloadig an entire in audio cd in 7 min. that freakin fast. What do you have a T-3 or an OC ckt. I don't know why your complaining; even 16 or 18 min is pretty fast to download 650meg. I personally have Cable and it still takes me over an hour to get 600meg. Second I can't figure out why installing something like a cd-rw will make your connection slow down. This just doesn't make sense. But i suppose this is the place to get good answers for strange problems like yours. Finally, you mention that the problem may be due to an option that was checked my mistake. Still, i don't see how something totally unrelated to your internet connection would have this effect.
I truely hope & pray you find your answer to this mind-numbing paradox.
 
Download? Oops! I ment BURN.
Enabeling DMA has solved my problem and has gottem me to 6:30 secs to "BURN" I full 74min CD. 🙂
