Write down all the answers, and then sometime when you see him slip out of his office for a second, go put the answers back somewhere on his desk. If his desk is messy he will never know they're missing.

I used to just erase the question with my eraser. My elementary school had cheap paper or ink or something so if I didn't know a question I just erased it. If only life was that simple.

lol! wouldn't the teacher notice a greater empty space between the questions? Also wouldn't they check it compared to someone else's test? :)

go for the brownie points but keep a copy like others said. he'll change the questions but it'll help you study.

He will almost certainly re-write both tests.

Yes, when he notices his test questions are missing, he will probably re-write them. So if you give them back, you could possibly earn some brownie points.

This is definitly the best thing to do. He will realize sooner or later that you had the answers and when he sees you brought them back that will make him think VERY highly of you and thats a good thing.

Exactly. It won't matter because he'll change the questions but it'll give you a leg up on what to study for. Give him the tests back and collect some brownie points.

You guys are oblivious. That was just a printed copy from his computer, probably one that he photocopied for the rest of the class. Hence, he still has the questions in his computer. Just b/c he can't find his printed copy doesn't mean a thing, he probably will just think he had lost it and print out another. Teachers are lazy and usually won't change test questions just b/c they lost a copy somewhere, unless the test was identified (if his name/class/phone # were on that copy). If it was just a piece of paper with the questions, then don't worry about it. If it's identified, don't be surprised to see different questions/different version, but memorize the answers to your copy just in case. On a sidenote, good teachers usually keep different versions of their tests, but it depends on the teacher. This one sounds lazy, although only you know if he is or not (more details please).

what if he's testing you by giving you the answers on purpose, to see what you would do? Doing the "wrong" thing would be punishment in itself
