My wife wants to use Teamspeak when playing WoW with her guild mates. I have downloaded the client side program and I am ready to install it. But I need to know a little more before I proceed. What other equipment do I need to use Teamspeak? Do I need a mike or headset? Is there any special way to set up the program or equipment?

well you only need the mic really. You can use the mic with speakers. In teamspeak config set up a button as the activation button to press to talk.
 
Yes, Mic + Headphones/Speakers, or Headset.

This link should help you set up your connection, etc once you get it all installed.

Also, under Settings there is an option where you can do a local test, and play with the different codecs and volume settings to see what you want to use.

Also, if in the market for a headset I highly recommend the Sennheiser PC150 which I got from ecost for ~37 shipped - freakin loving it! 😀
