Please help me pick out an SSD upgrade

My mobo supports 2x 6Gb SATA drives (as per sig), So as I understand I can pick out any SSD and will not be bottlenecked by my mobo.

With that out of the way, here's the deal. Currently I have 2x Kingston SSD NOW 100's 64Gb each in RAID0. They just refuse to play well with my mobo. I did the firmware upgrade, updated the mobo, etc, etc... nothing helps. I simply don't see that big performance boost when loading games and software people talk about. In fact, I don't see any difference over a standard 7200RPM drive.

So I figure it's time for an upgrade.

Currently newegg has a nice sale on SSDs, and the best bet seems to be this Samsung 830 drive

but just for $15 more I can have this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148525

or for $20 more this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148442 (except I don't see the difference compared to previous drive)

Worth it? or go with Sammy? or something else in same price range?

Thanks.

The Samsung is a good drive. The Crucial is a good drive. Pick one.

And there is This... if I had the coin I would have one on the way now.

The difference between the 2 Crucials is I think one is a 'kit' with data transfer software, etc.

Both good drives, but I bet the consensus will be the Samsung. I would get the one that is the cheapest.

Samsung and plextor are roughly equal. Both are better than the m4. Samsung and crucial have excellent quality repuation. Both are better than plextor in this regard. Samsung has the best price right now, that's definitely the one that I would get in this case.

Plextor has a 5-year warranty...

Both of those choices will have lower latency and higher IOPS than the previous SSD's you had.

Although, it's doubtful that you would see much improvement if you thought 2 SSD's in R0 was no faster than a single HDD for your OS volume.
