OK, here's the deal. For graduation, my parents got me a Samsung 150MP monitor. Specs can be found here. It's a great looking monitor with some really cool features and I'm stoked to get it. BUT, my parents also said they would put the ~$650 they spent on it towards any other monitor if I wanted to exchange it. Well, now I don't know what would be best. It seems like I have several options:
1) stick with the 150MP
2) go with a cheaper 15" lcd with fewer features and pocket the difference
3) upgrade to a larger LCD and pay the difference
4) trade it in for a really good 19" CRT (Trinitron or equivalent)
5) ???
now, I really think LCD's are cool and the mobility of an LCD would be an advantage since I am going off to college in a few months, but I also heard they really suck for games. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I do like to play a few rounds of UT or Half-Life or maybe a strategy game every once in a while. Should I be worried about gaming on this monitor? Would having something bigger be easier on my eyes? What should I do? thanks in advance
