My place of work just gave me a new laptop (P3-700, 256MB RAM, ATI Mobility 128 w/ 16 MB RAM, Windows 2K). I can't seem to get the DVD player to run movies. I've tried installing PowerDVD and an ASUS DVD player I have from my desktop's video Card. Asus' DVD player locks up when I try to play a movie. The PowerDVD plays audio, but gives me an error that tells me my display doesn't support the resolution. I've tried lowering my display's resolution all of the way down to 800x600 @ 256 colors, but to no avail.
ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
