It all started with my computer overheating pretty badly on a very hot day, so bad that it rebooted itself a couple times. Since then something has been messed up and it will freeze randomly, requiring a reboot.
Since then I have purchased:
Thermaltake Tsunami Case
Antec Truepower 2.0 550W PSU
Thermalright XP90C
ATI X800XL
I ran Memtest86 for about 4 hours so I've pretty much ruled out RAM IMHO. I feel like i have ruled out:
Heat
Power
RAM
Video card
Therefore I'm down to:
CPU
Motherboard
Software
I'm going to try installing x64 fresh tomorrow and see if that fixes it. If not I'll be either getting a new cpu or a new mobo/vid card (might as well switch to PCI-E). I'd really rather not spend any money, but I definitely don't want to get a cpu/mobo/vid card setup. Any ideas which it might be causing the freezing? Anyway I can test it?
