The mobo in the system right now appears screwed up (consistent freezes in all 3 partitions' WinXP installs), and in any case has always refused to come out of S3 suspend. I figure replacing the mobo with a different brand or model will likely resolve both problems. Current mobo has 3 PCI slots, could maybe get by with 2, if there's no overlapping space requirements.

Current system specs:

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Q8200 (2.33Ghz 45nm Core2Quad), copper core stock heatsink/fan
PNY GeForce GT 620 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card VCGGT620XPB
2x2GB GSkill blue DDR2-667 RAM
EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 550W 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply
MIT MyHD-130 HDTV PCI + daughterboard
Hercules Game Theater XP (GTXP) PCI sound card + breakout box
120GB IDE HDD for OS/Apps
Western Digital 2TB Red 5400 SATA III HDD for secondary storage
Midtower case
2x 120mm fans

So, there are 2 PCI cards in there now, I figure I can maybe get by with 2 PCI slots, a 3rd would give more room, but maybe 2's enough as long as there's not interference from the video card and the HDTV card's daughterboard fits. Could maybe get by using onboard audio but the Hercules PCI card has a lot of connectivity options I might miss.

In trying to troubleshoot the recent freezing in all 3 OS installs, I just ran memtest and saw no RAM issues.

I'd like a replacement mobo to support the current CPU, of course.

The system's sole purpose is HTPC usage with the MyHD card + daughterboard.

Thanks for help finding a mobo, new or used, long as it works.

Did a bunch of poking around and ordered this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/123388637992?epid=1500241223&hash=item1cba893328:g:VGAAAOSw-gFbqgAq

HP Motherboard 536455-001 with Core 2 QUAD 2.66GHz

"No questions asked" money back guarantee, including the shipping. Appears to support my hardware. HP part number, hard to determine for sure but I saw one site specifying an Asus mobo actually, and figure there's a good chance the mobo is Asus. I kinda doubt HP designs and manufactures motherboards!

I think Asrock are still making these:

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G41C-GS R2.0/index.asp

It only has two PCI slots however. It also only has two DIMM slots for each type of memory, but supports both DDR2 and DDR3.
That too might work for me. Hopefully, the one I just ordered will work out.

This looks similar if not actually the same as what I ordered, but a bit more and new from Newegg. That Asrock mobo is OOS at Newegg. If the used one I just ordered turns out to be bad I may just return it and buy it new at Newegg.

Looks like a great deal. Very nice for someone looking to relive the days of Windows 98SE/XP.
Until I do something else for viable DVR OTA TV, I figure I'll keep using the MyHD card and app. It's buggy but pretty good feature set, way better than my TCL Roku TV's DVR system. I figure to look into implementing maybe an external tuner and DVR system with my Roku TV(s). An expense and learning curve but potentially a LOT better.
