I'm going to exchange my car's documents tomorrow morning and I still haven't figured out what colour I'm gonna paint it after I got it fully rebuilt (I need to say it for sure by tomorrow) :( It's currently yellow (looks like this <- this isn't picture of my vehicle
but mine looks identical) and I thought I'm gonna leave it that way but my friends are suggesting to paint it military green, some say that red would also be nice etc... What do you think, does it looks better in yellow, green or in some other colour? Some other pictures and specs can be found here... thans for your suggesions :)

I'll get back to ya after it's finished loading...

ok, well you can color it whatever color you want, but it's still gonna be an ugly SOB. Go with whatever floats your boat.

I thougt that light blue might be nice, also. I have seen one painted dark blue but that looked specially ugly...

Alienwho: this POS car may seem ugly do you, but it's really more than 40 years old desing and meant for military use. And it's really fun to drive off-road with it ;)

Dark blue stripes on a white car with a 4 foot spoiler, stickers, a recycle bin on the end of your exhaust, clear lightcovers, and a sound maker that makes soundslike a turbo.

Oh...don' forget the major body kit!

Alienwho: just curious: where have you driven GAZ 69 ? I thougt there shouldn't be many of those driving around in US. Also, I have GAZ 66 in pretty good condition waiting for restauration and I'm planning to buy GAZ 21 for daily driving. Guess I just like ugly cars ;)

I don't know if it was the exact same thing that I drove, i'm not very l33t when it comes to military vehicles. But my uncle collects crap like that and i've played in a few of the vehicles.

Just read a article in Maxim written by a traffic cop. He said dark colors are harder to get a fix on with radar.

Rust-O-Leum Flat and Satin Black. $3 per can, 5 cans per car.

That's my trademark when I buy a rusty old shatbox. But I don't rebuild or restore 'em. I beat them into the ground!

(I'm not saying that's a sh!tbox, it looks kind of fun.)

You could get a pokemon shrink wrap thing going on :p

How much does that wrap stuff cost anyway? It would be sorta cool to do a custom grafix in photoshop and get it wraped onto your car

Thnx for your opinions, I have made up my mind: the car will be painted military green (sth. like this). If I have some luck, I also may able to get military axles with differencial locks for it (that would rise ground clearance to 28cm)....

The color red attracts cops...really. It has something to do with the psychological effect. They call 'em bulls! The ultimate color scheme would, imho,be none other than professionally applied camo.

That leaves two colors: Jungle green/black camo, and tan/black 'desert' camo.Whatever color you paint it, it's gonna attract some serious attention.

An aluminum block 350/automatic/O.D./4 wheel drive would be the ultimate...but then you'd have to beef the frame and suspension...
