please help me adding my additional HDD

Please someone help me installing my additional HDD.. please!!! I am not good with this kind of stuff.. so please help me. As my primary HDD(as master) I am using IDE HDD UATA. I am trying to install additional HDD(SATA HDD) to expand my storage space. I already physically installed on the computer and it seems that computer is seeing the new HDD. I have already done "ADD Hardware Wiz", and it says NEW HDD is working properly. and I see it from "Device Manager" menu ( in control panel). But I cannot access it. It isn;t showing up on "MY Computer" menu. Only HDD I see is the original HDD. Anyone know what the problem is.. please help me out. 🙁

my OS is window XP home
both of HDD are maxtor diamondmax 9 plus series

Ok try going to the control panel, administrative tools, Computer management, and then Disk Administrator. Should be able to do what you need from there. (create and format a partition on the new drive).
