PLEASE HELP! Is this a problem with the traces?

I have a Duron 650@950 bought from Compuwiz1 on a MSI 6330 (Pro2a) mobo. Occasionally when I boot (such as now) the speed reports as 400mhz lower than whatever I'm clocking it to; for example, I'm clocking it to 9.0 on the multiplier right now, and it's reporting 500mhz (in CPUID as well as on boot).

Edit: When I boot at the "default" multiplier, it runs just fine reporting @ 650. Edit: Other info - I'm running it at 1.85v, and now when I tried to boot @ 800 it doesn't even show anything (doesn't post).

Any idea why it's doing this? I'm starting to think the traces (is that the word) might have worn off.

Might be that your L1 bridges need repenciling, might wanna consider making it more permanent, with defogger kit (you know the dark lines on the back window they are conductive) from an autoparts store. That paint works great just be super careful applying. I would use a toothpick or something tiny.
