I am working on getting a 1976 Ford Courier up and running. One of the rocker arms is missing this part (circled in yellow in the following pictures), and that rocker arm destroyed the camshaft and cannot be adjusted without this missing part. I ordered new rocker arms, and they are also missing this part. The part is the nut that goes on the end of the bolt that runs through the rocker arm.

In the first image, the rocker arm on the right has this part (circled in yellow). The rocker arm on the left does not have this part.

This is another view of the missing part.

I think that little part connects to the top of the valve correct...? I think it is called an adjustable spacer or something of that sort...? I did some checking online and could not find it so you may have to go to Ford to get one...? But note that is for an intake valve so be sure to tell them this... Note the dark rockers should be for the exhaust valves while the light ones should be for the intake...?

BTW it keeps the contact with the valve inline with everything... Hope this helps...?

Thanks. You got me headed in the right direction. It's a rocker arm adjusting screw valve. D27Z-6549-C I just picked up six for $15.

Had to look up Ford Courier. Odd that I had absolutely no memory of those things as I'm old enough to have seen them around new.
