There is no repair. None. No repair option. There is only a rebuild.

How can we just repair all of windows?

no... just go to the point where you press f8 and install windows... do a soft restore.. by selecting to repair the existing windows... that's all the time you have... beep... next person...

As I posted earlier:

After I F8 the license it says "The following list shows the exisisting partitions and unpartition space" and no repair option yet. I selected the largest partition and went through a few scary warning screens about there already being a windows folder before I thought it best to ask you guys if I should continue. So should I continue?

Just "type format c:" and stop asking me questions! You are driving me insane! BTW "went through a few scary warning screens" tells me absolutely nothing about what you are doing or where you are...

You are like some of the customers I get at work... "my computer is broken... it says error on the screen can you fix it?"

Don't mean to rag on you but you couldn't even follow my directions when I said 1st... 2nd... 3rd.. and EVERYTHING you had to type.

I'm not gonna help someone who doesn't follow my directions! WTF man... get a clue

This is amazing -- almost like instant messaging (beware). Isn't the real problem SP2? I have had to uninstall SP2 on two computers in order to get them to work properly. I've read many articles that say not to use it as it creates more problems than it solves (sort of like Norton AV). I have repaired XP using the original CD and it simply uninstalls the service pack. Then install SP1 or 1a if you want to.

I have had 3 people follow the same fix TODAY and it worked fine. The fact that I had to guide you to hit "enter" every time you needed to with a new post means exactly one thing YOU ARE A MORON.

ANYONE ELSE READING THIS. DO NOT TRY AND HELP IT'S JUST GONNA GIVE YOU A HEADACHE.
