please help! dvd rom cdrom problems :(

Hi everyone... i am currenty am having problems with my dvd rom as well as my cdr-w . One thing is for sure is that they are connected corretly to everything (hardware wise). what is happening is that when my ocmputer tries to access a cd or dvd it locks up and freezes until i ctrl alt delete and close the browser window. DMA is enabled and both drives support it and it is the KG7-Raid motherboard. I heard that the "disconnect " feature could be causeing this from Pauls kg7 page but i dont know how to get to this feature in windows 2k ( or even if it exists.) can ANYONE please help. i would greatly appreciate it. thanks!
