Hi,
I have a computer which seems to be completely frozen. I have an Abit BH6 mobo with a Celeron 450 CPU. The OS is Win XP Home, and the computer is on a phoneline network. The computer had lately begun developing some hangs on shutdown. This would be a total lockup, where the only thing to do would be to manually unplug the computer. Then, on powering it back up, it would not do anything, no beep, no BIOS, no nothing. However, one more manual shutdown, then another power on would do the trick.
Today, the computer did the same thing, but I can't get it to power on no matter what I try. I have unplugged all the cards, and still nothing. When I power up, the fan gets power, but nothing else happens.
I'm desparate to find a way to get the system at least powered up so that I can reinstall windows, or reformat the HD if necessary! Can anyone give me any ideas?
Thanks,
Wes Huang
