Well, it flashed fine, but then when I rebooted the rig would not start up. I used the latest at DFI-Street.

I have an Ulta-D LanParty, the bios said LanParty NF4, so I assumed it would be ok (yeah, never assume) I guess it is not..Now what in the FRACK do I do???

Any help would be great.

Thnx guys

Here is the 'official' DFI way of clearing the CMOS:
1. pull power *A/C Power from wall outlet*.
2. pull battery
3. clear cmos jumper to pins 2 and 3 for minimum of 30-60 seconds *For Real troublesome systems use 8 hours*.
4. replace battery
5. replace cmos jumper to normal position pins 1 and 2.
6. replace power *A/C Power from wall outlet*.
7. boot to bios and load optimized defaults
8. save and exit
9. boot back to bios and now you can change settings to your liking. *Is what we are trying to get to*.
The above is especially true after some unknown boot failure and after a bios flash or major component change which is the same as you have when first assembling a computer.

It was a little bit different when they sent me these instructions but it worked for me. I did the exact same thing.

That is clearing the CMOS. I think I put int he wrong BIOS. Cmos clean wont fix that.

But thanks anyway bro :)

I just pulled the bios out. going to send it in for repairs....should not take long..only a month or 2... :rolls;

Ok I got off my lazy bumb and got the information from my laptop.

Remove power from the system. Pull cord from wall if you must. Or from rear of power supply.

Remove the battery.

Move the CMOS jumper to clear postition (pin 2 and 3).

Move the speaker jumper to on position. Page 7 quick start manual.

Make sure you have a wired keyboard plugged into the PS2 port. Not USB in other words. USB to PS2 OK.

Leave the CMOS jumper at clear for at least 30 minutes.

Put ONLY one ( 1 ) stick of memory in ORANGE slot closest the top edge of motherboard.

Replace the battery.

Set the CMOS jumper back to normal (pin 1 and 2).

Press and hold down the "Insert" Key on the keyboard.

Apply power to power supply again WITH "Insert" key still pressed down.

Press the start/power on button on the rig. WITH the "Insert" key still pressed down.

This worked for me. I tried to flash the bios, and then it wouldn't do anything. No post, no noise, nothing. So I wrote them and they gave me this piece of information. I'd be glad to pass it on to help.

Wow, interesting. I would think once you flash to a bad bios your screwed. That really saved you from a bad bios flash>>>??? I just don?t see how it would work, I mean...the old bios is erased and a new one (non compatible) is still there. If I would not have yanked my rig apart last night ..I would give it a shot, but saving that info for future ref wont hurt. :) Thanks bro
