😕 I have purchased both the Audigy Gamer and Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound cards. I am installing one in my new rig and installing one in my old pc that I am giving to my Brother. . I will be using my machine for gaming, dvd/cd playback, and midi music creation/playback. Which one is best for me?? PLEASE HELP!! TextText

I own both... Santa Cruz is my favorite.

Not so much because of the hardware itself, but because the drivers/software for the Audigy can have it's share of issues.

amdemall- I looked at your rig under construction and I see your using the Audigy ... why ? Better than the Santa Cruz??

i've read in the past and ppl have said that the sc is better for music playback and the audigy is better for gaming. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Read my updated rig info... It will be used in my 2nd pc now. I got it when I worked for staples, right before I was laid off.... That's another story... I have yet to hear my audigy but from the reviews i've seen and what people have said, the tbsc comes out on top most of the time. Especially driver wise.

Santa Cruz! That special yellow jack, don't know what it's called, is so awesome.

It's called a VersaJack & yes it owns 🙂

People will choose either or. True, the Audigy's drivers are less than stellar. Because of that fact, maybe you should consider using the Audigy yourself. I mean, if you knowmore about computers than your brother, why not give him the more stable system? If you run the Audigy and have problems, you can go about fixing it yourself (if possible) right? Moreover, who's to say that you will experience any bugs with the Audigy?

Santa Cruz

I have an audigy and am very happy but others who've had both prefer the Santa Cruz so i'll agree

though I would also consider a Philips Seismic Edge

Well, IMHO, the best sound card for right now is Hercules GTXP. But since the TBSC uses the same chip as GTXP, I'm gonna hafta vote for TBSC. Go fvck Creative! 😀

Idunno, I've been reading reviews in all the "mags" hyping the Audigy. I guess it depends on who pays the most in advertising $$$ gets the best reviews! Could it be a conspiracy???? HA!
