Can anyone tell if my law enforcement friends need to come in and help with the rescue effort .. Has it been cancelled??? They were supposed to come in and help with the dogs.... are the dogs still working??

I don't really know. It is awesome that he wants to help, but I hear that they are starting to give up hope on the survivors...

the rescue effort is continuing, but last I heard from Gulianni (sp?), he said that they had enough volunteers. This was ~24 hours ago though...some people may need relief. It never hurts to call and check. Same deal in DC I believe.

They were using dogs when I was watching CNN about 3 hours ago, but they just started evacuating people because that building was becoming unstable. I am at work so I don't know what they are doing now.
