My local computer shops only carry 300 and 425 watt psu. Is there a good online place to get a good amd approved psu and case? I've hear I will need a 350 watt psu to be sure with the ecs board. I hope to pay about 75 or so. I will be running:
ecs k7s5a
amd 1600+
dvd
cdrw
ibm 60gig hd
64 meg video
sound card
possibly another hard drive
512 mg ddr ram

Thanks for any help

I have the information you're looking for.

As general information, you really don't need more than a 300watt PS. 350 and over is mostly for servers and a lot of stuff. I mean butt-loads of stuff.

My Gateway came standard with a 200watt PS and I have a p3 800, 2 7200RPM hard drives, cdrw, dvd, live drive, zip, floppy, 384 ram, video card, network, modem, ultra ata controller card, and 3 fans. So....300w is fine.

If you live in the USA, http://www.newegg.com is selling an Antec SX1240 (Full Tower Case) for $65 including the 350watt Power supply.

Oops, just checked the site, it's now $99. But that's still a great price compared to what it has in it. I think they run standard $140.

This is an extremely good case, great case, im getting one myself in about 2 weeks.

Hope that helps.
BTW, the link to that case is:

Directron is always a good place to start. They have a large selection of cases and PSU's. Their prices can be a little high but they do price match. I've ordered thru them several times and haven't had a problem yet.

i agree with lonewolf1. if you're looking for a case with a different psu, directron is the place to look. i also agree with lordswedish. 300w is gonna be enough for you, and the enlight 7237 from newegg should suit you very nicely.
