I hate doing it, I dread looking forward to it, I hate it while I do...... I just dont like running. I need a good reason to do this.

could you try a different aerobic activity that you would enjoy doing? like biking, yoga (can meet hot girls 😉 )?
Do it for your body, your health. it'll lengthen your life and they say running/jogging helps in the long run fromg etting ahlzimers as well.
For your heart?

I used to do it for that, but why don't I just not eat and play guitar and video games? That would be way cooler.
 
I kind of see where you are coming from. I hate running. I hate it hate it hate it.
When I started college years back, I didn't mind it, but now that I am older and not in great shape I can't stand it. There are more than a few times when at the gym I say to myself, "screw it I want to sit on the couch and snack."
Some days it takes every ounce of my energy to drag my butt out to excercise.

hahaha, i wish volleyball could get me into shape.

my tennis coach used to say, people play tennis to get into shape, but really they should be getting into shape to play tennis.

The only way I could ever convince myself to run would be if I'm playing a sport competitively and I need to get into shape in order to hang.

Otherwise I agree, it's totally boring and pointless. Treadmills or ellipticals can take the edge off if you've got a TV in front of your face.

Its too cold outside to bike during the winter time, the gym at college also closes too early during break (6:00). The only thing I have inside is some weights and a treadmill, I would much rather bike.

Thats an easy fix. Get one of those indoor thingies for your bike. Basically it puts your back wheel on a roller and you can ride all day long in place on your bike and watch a movie. Ill get a link in a second.

Find someone to excersize with you. It's much more motivating, if you have any little bit of competetiveness in you.
