Only get quick spin and nothing. New build a few days old and all worked fine windows loaded etc used two days no overclocking.
Replaced dvd rom and it would not do anything no post. Red leds flash a second on then nothing. Reset cmos and disconnected miscellaneous connections to minimize and still nothing. All power connections are seated etc

where to start?

Did you shutdown from windows, or use the power/reset button on your case? If its the latter, could be the cold boot issue. What is your PSU? Might want to look at DFI street. All you'd ever want to know, and some you don't, about DFI's.

Edit: This also in the wrong forum.

Re-seat CPU, Video Card, RAM.

Then replug all power connectors to mobo and/or video card.

If nothing, then begin replacing each part w/ another. Start with video card, then RAM, then CPU...actually try in any order, it won't matter.

If nothing changes, try a new PSU.

If nothing changes, try a new mobo.

If nothing changes, sorry, SOL.

As the second poster said, there is a cold boot issue with some PSU's. Namely the Seasonic PSUs, and even more specific still - the first version of the 600 watt Seasonic. Or at least thats the main culprit that I read about since I own that PSU. If thats the case, check DFI Street (google it) and research it
