It has become more an argument about Rollo and others being fanboys for different companies, and why either ATi or nVidia is better because of SM3.0.

It is now a worthless thread for its topic.

Lonyo, weren't you the person who was arguing with Rollo back when he bought an FX5800 videocard and started saying it was superior to his old 9700PRO? For some reason I remember you having a plethora of flame wars with him around then, and nobody was running around locking your threads. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

In any event, I agree w/ Gamingphreek, that thread is fine and has generated some excellent discussion from both sides.

Errr, for the record, I never said the 5800Ultra was anything but "mostly about as good as a 9700Pro". I owned both, and the 9700Pro had a few advantages?

I just get crucified a lot for daring to say the 5800U was "about as good" instead of the "teh worst fu**ing card evar! you'd have to be a retard to buy one!".

BTW- LOL- Lonyo did used to fight with me like cats and dogs.

I apologize for the inaccuracy then Rollo. I never fully understood what your stance was on the issue until right now. It was deceiving because you swapped a 9700/9800 (not sure which) for the 5800 and then seemed happy with the exchange.

I had a feeling that it was you and Lonyo who kept relentlessly going at it back in the day. I remember finding the threads quite humorous and entertaining. It seems as though he's holding a bit of a grudge as he attempted to get your wildly popular thread shut down.
