Please build me a computer for computation and game

Hi All

I plan to spend 1200~1400 $USD(monitor not include) to build a PC in the end of Jan or early Feb. Will use it for 50% computation(commerical package and personal code in Linux),30%game,20% regular bussiness usage and surfing. And plan to run both WinXp and Linux
I have not touched with OC before,so I have no idea about it.
Consult with some friends, I guess I will go for X2 3800+
if no OC should I still choose DFI NF4? what about the rest
Any suggestion will be appreciated
