I have gotten hurt,more than once.

Last time,i got hurt was the last time.

#3rd degree burns,road rash,and a broken biceps muscle were enough.

He was wearing a helmet and was not brain damaged. His internal organs were severely damaged causing death. Very little other than his eyes are probably suitable for donation.

Motorcycles gained that silly name because the most common cause of death is head injury with very little damage to the rest of the body. In this case, it was the opposite.

I have owned more than 10 motorcycles in my life and driven probably more than 100K miles(broke a wrist and arm almost 30 years ago) but I have given up riding about ten years ago. Why? My reasons are a new child, mortgage payments and no more cold wind blowing in my face and body. I have become a lot more temperture sensitive as I got older but I had a lot of fun riding...

Here's one that happened two weeks ago a few miles from me. No margin of error on bikes, simple freaky accidents like woodchucks or tree branches that wouldn't do anything to a car can have tragic effects on a motorcycle.
