Can anyone tell me what is the best way to install win2k server in a seperate HD with win2k PRO currently in the first HD (Primary master) without any boot confliction with the two HDs. I tried this with win98s in my Primary master and XP in Secondary Master and it screwed the boot sector. Could not boot either OS. I ended up reinstalling XP only in the second HD and use my first HD which resides on my Primary master as extra storage space. Because i have many important info in my win2k Pro drive, I can afford to mess up this drive without any backups.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated!! thanks

disconnect your win2k pro drive, make the drive u want server to go on the master, and then install, then make the win2kpro drive the master again after the installation has complete .. that way you will be sure ur data wont be touched .. good luck ..
