lol well i didn't exactly buy a yaroze, in fact from what i can tell the yaroze thing is a bit of a farce in some ways. All i use is a sharklink serial cable that plugs into my PC's com-port and works just fine with a standard Playstation *the older type with the serial port*. The Playstation has to be mod chipped mind you. But thats not exactly difficult.
My University has 2 Yaroze labs but the only discernible difference between my set up and theres is that there;s are black and mine is plane old grey.
Boy is it slow though, *on the Yaroze or the modded PSX* it takes ages to load a 500kb tim *image format for the playstation* file into the V-RAM. I think the real Playstation development kits are actually blue but they only got given to a very limited number of Sony sponsored devcos.
To be honest id prefer a Gamecube dev-kit but im stuck on ancient console hardware. Gotta start somewhere though :-D
Oh and if your interested, Metroworks do a version of codewarrior that lets you compile to the playstation from your comport usin the serial cable.
I still haven't worked out how to run exe's of a CD yet which means painfully slow load times
