Playstation Phone to be Verizon exclusive?

if true, eff you Sony. this exclusive bs has to stop. i want this phone, but i am not switching carriers for it.

someone should just pass legislation that makes it so that we only have 1 cell network, no more CDMA/GSM bullshit and then make it so any phone can be used with any carrier.

seriously this should have been done 20 years ago. the ONLY difference should be the plans.

I see nowhere that says it's a VZW exclusive. It simply says, and I quote:

And I pointed that exact line of thought out. The first playstation phone may indeed come out on Verizon, but nowhere have I read that Sony is cutting an exclusive agreement with VZW and won't be producing any playstation phones for other carriers for any given timeframe.

I don't know if Verizon will lock it down, but it looks like its UTMS/GSM/CDMA according to the specs. Also, I hear Rogers will sell it in Canada, so the possibility of getting an unlocked model may be out there.
