Just the facts, man. Just the facts. 😉 I gave him an objective analysis of the current situation on each console as it pertains to his preferences. Be glad I limited it to racing games, it looks even worse when you look at all games. :Q

I also do have both the 360 and PS3, and I personally love the PS3. Often times, my gaming is.. (gasp) done on my PC, and I've been toying around the idea 'digital home' using these powerful consoles. The more and more I look at it, I get amazed by the sheer beauty of PS3. It's a marvelous piece of engineering. It's also unbelievable how user-friendly (i.e. easy-to-hack) the PS3 is.. I know these aren't really the OP's interest, but for the money's worth, it's hard to deny that you get a lot more from PS3. Of course, that only means when you actually use it to its worth. So it's ultimately your decision.

Some of us can afford to buy all 3 consoles plus have a gaming PC. Some of us need to pick one then use it for several years.

If you know that you'll only have either a 360 or a PS3 next year not both, it makes sense to look at next year's games too, not just games out now.

I'm in the same situation as the OP. I'm thinking of going with the PS3 since the built-in technology is more advanced, and games are sure to follow with the recent price cuts. I'm a PC gamer as well, so PS3 will just be for those odd games that don't make it onto the desktop.

Only reason to get a PS3 is if you like GT or want to play MGS 4 1st. I can see MGS 4 coming to 360 if it doesn't sell over 2million copies on PS3. FF12 wouldn't be out untill Q1 2009 according to Square Enix. So 360 is the machine for you.
