I went to two stores inside a local mall and they both had plenty of PS-3. No WIIs of course.

I'm not sure. The only reason I posted it was because it was online at a major retailer, and figured somebody out there might have been waiting for something like this.

That's actually been up on BB.com now for about a week Haven't noticed it go out of stock yet either.

My BB had about 20 of em.

I kinda went looking for a Wii this am, no Wii's to be found but everyone had a PS3 or two on the shelf.

ps3 is in stock in every single store that sells video game consoles within a 50 mile radius of me... only reason i know is because before i got my wii last week i called all the stores everyday for 2 weeks straight asking for a wii, but all stores always tried to offer me a ps3, not to mention when i went on a wii controller hunt... all stores i visited had at least 5 ps3 units on hand, if not in the range of 20+ units. nobody seems to want one. can't blame them, they are way to expensive and dont have any good games.

the ps3 is in stock literally everywhere now a days. No need for alerts any longer. For example, BB.com have had PS3's in stock for the past week and they still haven't sold out yet.

Does anyone know what Nintendo's next shipment is going to look like, or any idea how many more they plan on shipping in the next month (or first quarter)? I'm sick of calling all the local stores 2-3x a week and getting the same response:

"NO, we don't have any Wiis and we probably won't have any for at least a week. Call back then."

Same here, Target had two PS3s, no Wiis, and a few Black Nintendo DS Lites. The GameStop at the Sugarland mall in Sugarland,TX had PS3s in stock, and a sign "Wii's Sold Out" posted.

I honestly don't see why people are jumping on the Wii so much. I got mine at launch and thought I'd like it, and for a while I did. Eventually though, Bowling got boring and the novelty of the controller began to fade. Zelda was good and I wanted to finish it, but I couldn't escape the fact that it was/is the only game I want to play on the system. I can't see keeping a system when there's only 3-4 good games I can think of (Zelda, Mario, and Metroid) coming out within the next year. So, I sold my Wii and used that money to help buy a PS3.

Playing Gran Turismo HD (free), Motorstorm demo, and Resistance, plus watching some Blu-Ray movies, I must say I'm enjoying my PS3 alot more than the Wii. Also, I like the fact that I can play any PS2 game as well, there's plenty of good PS2 titles I never got to play.

Overall I think people hype the Wii far too much. People talk alot about the fact there's only 1 great game on the PS3 right now, but I think the same can be said about the Wii. Can the Wii play Blu-Ray movies, or PS2/PS1 titles?

Anyway, whether you think the PS3 is overpriced or not, that doesn't mean you need to threadcrap here.
