Blah.. blah.. Sony just copies Blah.. Blah...

Sorry, but almost everything added to gaming can found found as existing ideas elsewhere. Even Nintendo's vaunted motion sensing has been done before in 3rd party controllers (fishing controllers and such). Nintendo is using a more advanced technology and is the first to make it standard, but the idea is not new.

Who the hell cares? Sony appears to be combining several existing ideas into something that actually sounds very promising and the screen shots look nice.

Anyway, have you guys seen that video of LittleBigPlanet? That game looks stunningly good.

all sounds great to me. i think i've played the motorstorm demo more than i did my 360 games.

But it only sounds good to you because you have a PS3 and you've been begging for Sony to throw you a bone to make you feel good about the purchase. Let's face it. Those are not selling points imho.

The Mii system was a selling point for the Wii even if it didn't serve a purpose. WTF are you talking about?

Xbox 360 only owner here, but I will not be a hating fanboy, this looks sweet. Too bad the PS3 doesn't have enough exclusives for me to purchase another one.

Looks neat. Not something I'd really get into, but I could certainly see how a lot of people who got into the Sims or Second Life would get into this.

Personally, I'm impressed. They've got something that 360 just can't match. Sounds pretty cool to meet all your friends in a virtual room before firing up a game, rather just just sending invites through the dashboard.

I agree. The general media, known for PS3/Sony bashing, is praising PS3 Home. I think it looks like a great way to merge many great online services into one interactive experience.

I do hope that they get the network running better, though, because it currently stinks having to download something (online gameplay is great though).

360 owners won't have much to boast about if Home really ends up being what it promises, especially considering what we get will be free...except additional things you can buy in Home. That's going to be lame if it goes overboard.

I really couldn't care less about the communal aspect of Home. But the arcade area looks pretty nice.

I hope that you can enter full-screen mode when you're viewing TV/movie screens. Or maybe a download option since that could really kill the connection.

I'm usually in for some Sony bashing on these forums, because Sony usually sets themselves up for it. But you gotta admit, whether or not this PS3 Home is mostly a rework of other's ideas, as a whole, it is unique and interesting. After reading about this, I'm glad that Sony finally has what looks like a possible "unique" draw to it's system. I'm intrigued, and I think it definitely has possibilities with some tweaks and mass acceptance. Hell, you look back at where Live started, and it seems ancient to where it is today. Give Sony some time, and they might not fvck this one up.

Unfortunately, no matter how good it may turn out, I still won't buy a PS3 for it because of the price.
