Actually tho, I'm lucky...I got to pre-order my PS2 last month...which for you astutre people out there, is 3 months after SOny said not to allow anymore....remember, it's not what you know, it's who you know

I know they were shipped a week ahead of time but the stores can't sell them because of the release date thingy. If the do they get in serious trouble, at least around here. So I'm goin tommorow and sneak in the back( I got manager buddies at Wally World).

after what Sony pulled with the launch allotment, nobodies gonna be loyal to them, and i know of a few other places that are selling them tonight when their deliveries come in. im allowed to pick mine up tonight

They have been in stores for about 5 days. But remember breaking a release date on a game is not the same as breaking it on a movie or cd. A movie or cd you get fined. On a game you don't get fined, but you do get screwed in other ways you won't get money for crosspromotional stuff like store only deals. Also they will stop shipping things until they are out a few weeks. Which anyone in retail know that if you don't have it the first week you lost a ton. Also ps2 games are on sale now the street date on those is past already, but most stores are holding to sell witht he system.

Has anyone who pre-ordered from Outpost.com gotten any emails from them concerning their order as in: "you're getting it" or "no way", or whatever? I haven't heard a word, though I'm sure I wasn't in the first 500. I'm afraid to call just on the near-impossible chance I'm accidentally higher in their list than I should be. (keep dreamin', I know, but I'm desperate)

been playing Madden most of the night, great game, as for my system, like i said in a previous post, blame it on pissed of retailers, Sony wont know cause they wont be officially be inputted into the registers till tomorrow, but they are being sold right now, and im in Canada, BC to be exact. If ur Canadian, chck your smaller chain videogame stores......

K-mart: 15 units availble @8:00 AM Method: Lottery

BestBuy: 15 units avalible @10:00 AM Method: first come first served (ticket system) tickets will be given out at 9:00 AM

circut city: 8 units avalible @10:00AM Method first come first served (no ticket)

sears: 8 units avalible @9:30 AM Method first come first served (no ticket)

well kmart is out of the runnign cause im not gonna risk not winng the lottery. bestbuy is prolly gonna be swamped cause it's best buy. circut city prolly same as bestbuy but aby less demand.

that leaves sears as my ace in the hole cause while they will only have 8 units nobody know that thier selling them i ask the person on the phone and they told me that no one had asked about it so that may be my best chance....wish me luck

are ya kidding, maybe you haven't heard but, sony cut there original shipment in half and people aren't expected to get any until next year. sony said they will be able to catch up in time for the christmas rush, but its not likely. i wonder where online will they will be available tonight? outpost? buy.com?

I don't need to worry about getting a PS2 right now since none of the games interest me. I'm just waiting for FFIX right now, and by then, there could be a PS2 emulator.

I was told by a Best Buy in South Carolina that they are getting 114 units an that they would last about two hours. I am seeing yoiu guys talking about stores getting in 14 units and such. Is it possible this place will get this many or have I been misinformed. I better not get out there in the morning and be screwed on the deal. But the man I tlaked seemed very confident of the shipment and also said that they would be releasing 16 games at the same time. What you guys think?

none of the like 20 stores i contacted here in chicago had any more that 20 units so i don't know about that, but it could be that there are more stores here so that the shipment is spread more evenly....
