Playstation 2/GT4 Problem

This happend to my old ps2 and now my new slim one keeps crash after races and the logo turns red. All my other games play great. Any ideas?

I don't know but my GT4 crashes after I bought a 350z track or other wise. :| pissed because that's the only reason why I got the is to drive my car :|

Is the disc scratched at all clarkey01? Perhaps a "faulty" memory card? Just shooting off some ideas. :)

Nope, different dvd;s, different memory cards, different PS2.

Nope, different dvd;s, different memory cards, different PS2.

i had the same problem and it turned out to be a faulty disc...I can almost guarantee that it is the disc...

Is the PS2 getting proper ventilation? ie it's not placed on carpet and in a cool area?? also the power supply too

when that happens i just pop the disc out....blow put it back in. the PS2 then finds where it was and all is well again

i remember when i used to do that back in the NES days. however, i never realized how bad that was. it did work though.
